We've had reports of a black lab/shepherd mix dog roaming in the mid-Pin Oak Drive & Pin Oak Circle area - it's a young dog, about 100 lbs with an orange collar, name appears to be BO. No owner info is listed. The dog has been out for the last couple of nights, whining, clearly was very cold and suffering. Does anyone know who this dog belongs to? We'd hate to call Animal Control ... Please contact Pam Kimball at 678-9257.

Calling all Volunteers for Saturday, December 21st! The Chelsea Christmas Village effort is in need of volunteers to assist with a number of activities. This is the second year of our biggest fundraising effort - it has been hailed as a wonderful addition to the annual Chelsea Christmas Parade. Can you help for a while ... or for an hour or two? A Color Run fundraiser for the Chelsea Middle School Booster Club will be held on Saturday, November 23rd. County Road 39 will be briefly closed between 8:30 am - 9:30 am to accommodate the runners. Please plan accordingly if you need to leave the neighborhood during that timeframe.
HALLOWEEN BACK ON FOR TONIGHT 10/31 Posted 10.31.13
Based on feedback from a number of our neighbors, the decision to postpone Halloween Trick-or-Treat has been reversed, and activities are back ON for tonight, Thursday, 10/31. The postponement decision was made with safety in mind, but enough homeowners were willing to dodge rainstorms that may be occurring tonight. So please pass the word - and thank you for your feedback! Your thoughts are always listened to and appreciated!
HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREAT POSTPONED Posted 10.31.13
Because of concerns expressed over the safety of our children due to inclement weather expected, Halloween festivities in Yellowleaf have been postponed to Friday night.
Several Yellowleaf HOA officers discussed the pros and cons of making this change, with the understanding that it is a difficult change for many - some of you may have previous commitments on Friday, and it may be disappointing to our trick-or-treaters. In the end, however, the decision was made to err on the side of safety. Please pass this word along to your neighbors who may not have seen this message.
PARK WORK DAY - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH Posted 10.19.13
The next Work in the Park Day has been scheduled for Saturday, October 26th. The mission will be to clear out dirt under all park benches and set bricks as a foundation for benches to rest on. Volunteers should meet at 9am by the bridge on Sweet Gum Drive. And don't forget ... work done in the park qualifies for community service for high schoolers. Questions? Work on our Christmas Village fundraiser is well underway- it will be held on Saturday, December 21st from 9am - 4pm in conjunction with the Chelsea Christmas parade. We are signing up vendors and entertainment now through early December. This is our biggest Dogwood Creek Park money-maker!
ONE CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR: The location has been moved across the street, to the acreage behind Dairy Queen, instead of behind Winn Dixie. If you want to help with this effort, contact Brenda Mellen at mellen_brenda@yahoo.com
