Hard to believe it's time to begin working on our Christmas Village fundraiser - it's 5 months away and will be held on Saturday, December 21st from 9am - 4pm in conjunction with the Chelsea Christmas parade. This is a major event to be planned and is our biggest Dogwood Creek Park money-maker! The web page for vendors is now up with information and an application, and an advertisement will appear in both the PostNet publication and 280-Living during August. Our first project meeting will be held on July 23rd at 6:30pm. If you want to participate, contact Brenda Mellen at mellen_brenda@yahoo.com
ANNUAL HOA INVOICE due by 7.31.13 Posted 6.25.13
The invoice for annual Yellowleaf Homeowner Association dues covering the fiscal year July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014 was distributed today via email. Non-email residents will receive it in postal mail on or about Thursday, June 27th. Payments are due by July 31st. Also included on the invoice is an optional line to make a donation to our new Dogwood Creek Park in any dollar amount. We're very proud of the first year accomplishment in bringing the park to reality - and we could not have done it without your financial support ... Thank YOU!

Don't you just love the Chelsea fireworks display every year on Hwy 280 near Chelsea Park? While there, be sure to stop by the HOA tents set up in the gravel parking lot on the right, just before the Chelsea Park entrance - the lot is an ideal place to park, view the show and avoid the bulk of the traffic - plus we'll have soft drinks, refreshments and patriotic items for sale!

Congratulations to new HOA President Dave Garner, and new board members Patsy Coe Densmore and Linda Powers. Pam Kimball was also renewed for her second term and as HOA Secretary. The board ratified the vote today after your vote unanimously elected the four. Stepping down on June 30th is current President Paul Garmon and board member Jim Powers - they both made significant contributions over the past two years and will be missed!
A summary from today's board meeting will be posted by Friday, June 21st. Please forgive the posting delay - our secretary has been attending to urgent family matters. Thank you for your patience.

The next HOA board meeting will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at 2pm at the Chelsea Senior Center. Voting is now underway via electronic ballot for new and renewing board members and two officer positions. SMOKED RIBS / BOSTON BUTTS FOR MEMORIAL DAY! Posted 5.09.13
We all loved those ribs and Boston butts from Whiskers Catering so much last year, we are doing it again! Proceeds help support Dogwood Creek Park projects, and just in time, too ... we've done so much work down there lately, funds are getting pretty low. Meat delivery is Thursday, May 23rd, and orders have to be placed no later than Saturday, May 18th. More details.

A ribbon cutting / dedication ceremony, a park blessing, lots of delicious food & desserts, a band, neighborly camaraderie, an Amazing Race for kids, a bridge christening, a walking tour . . . and the weather cooperated even if it was on the cool side! The Grand Opening was a wonderful event enjoyed by approximately 70 residents - a good time was had by all! Here's the Event Page with pictures sent in by several residents - thank you! Steps were put in at the park entrance today. Wow - - -
did the guys have fun with the earth moving equipment!
Many thanks to new neighbor Phillip Pittman (Sunbelt
Rentals) who loaned us the 10M lb. excavator and a dirt
tamper - it surely did save us a lot of manual labor and
backaches!
We just aren't as young as we used to be!
